When you’re tired, under pressure, sick, run down, rattled, out of your comfort zone, in pain – and myriad other factors… this is when you’re most likely to act in negative ways – externally and inside your head (and heart?).
So when your are ‘at risk’ it is wise to:
- Stay firmly anchored to the breath.
- Be more mindful in thought, word and deed.
- And to be slow to act and react.
The breath is a powerful anchor – use it and give time to whatever storm is raging.
And also consider whatever sensations are flowing in and over your body.
Observe them, without reaction.
