Now.

  • Think about the past to learn a lesson.
  • Think about the future to make a practical plan.

Then stop.

Focus on your breath.
Use all the senses you possess to become intensely present.
Here. And now

There is no more use for the past or future.
They are a distraction and will cause you pain.

However hard your body and mind wants you to repeat previous thoughts, words, actions, events (‘good’, ‘bad’ or ‘neutral’)… or create future projections of thoughts, words, actions, events (‘good’, ‘bad’ or ‘neutral’)… be aware they will not be of use.

There is only now.

And now will take care of itself.

By staying intensely present, using the breath and body awareness as a tool, there is a peace to be discovered, that flows under all the stuff you label as good and bad.

Beyond these labels and reactions you begin to realise that everything is actually ok.

It’s very, very challenging and uncomfortable at times, as you start to change the workings of your being. But that’s ok too.
