Jump in the river.

“The worst place you can be right now is in between your ears.”

“Stay out of your head. It’s a dangerous neighbourhood.”

Thought is your enemy and overthinking is a cancer-like disease.
Replicating itself without control, to the detriment of the host organism.

I now find it helpful to picture a river with the riverbanks as thoughts. Words. Obsessive and repetitive unhelpful mental processes. Uncomfy. And unwelcoming. Jagged.

If needed. I will scramble onto a bank and think about something useful.
And get it done.
But. Mainly. I endeavour to jump in the flow. The soothing cooling waters of life.

Glug glug glug.
